ABC News Throws Shade And Helps Apply A Smear For Gov. Rick Perry

created image of Texas Gov. Rick Perry thanks ABC News for the shade

I was watching the Sunday evening edition of ABC World News and they had a report about the recent indictment of Texas Governor Rick Perry. It basically was a hatchet job for Perry making the elected official, he tried to force to resign, out be crazy and allowing Perry to play the victim

Even someone ignorant of current events could tell that the ABC News report by Jeff Zeleny is carrying water for Governor Perry by making him out be a victim and the smearing the Travis County District Attorney, Rosemary Lehmberg, who happens to be a Democrat. Context is everything.

Giving ‘Meet the Press’ Gig To Another Non-Journalist Doesn’t Help

created image of a Chuck Todd Poll I can agree with

I am not a fan of the Sunday pundit shows. I rarely watch them so I might see a segment or two presented on a website I visit. It was announced yesterday that Chuck Todd would take over for David Gregory on ‘Meet the Press’ on NBC. Giving ‘Meet the Press’ Gig to another non-journalist doesn’t change my negative view of Sunday pundit shows.

Warren: What Does It Mean To Be A Progressive?

?
Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts

If Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts runs for President in 2016, I would love to vote for her. She doesn’t make excuses about what we should believe in and I wish all Democrats would have her backbone. Speaking at this weekend’s Netroots Nation conference in Detroit, Warren laid out some values that Progressives need to have today. I agree with all of them.

image of President Obama speaking

President Obama promised to issue an executive order that would prohibit Federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT people. It was announced on Friday that the order, to be signed on Monday, won’t include a broad religious exemption as some faith groups had requested. This is good news.

The call for a broad religious exemption in the coming order started after the Hobby Lobby court decision:
